On April 12 at the SMH Group Stadium, the Spireites defeated SJR Worksop Women 2-0 to win the East Midlands Women's Premier Division title and secure promotion to the fourth tier of the pyramid. In addition to that, the Blues also lifted the Derbyshire Women's County Cup the following weekend.

The Spireites, managed by Pete Jarvis, will start their FA Women's National League Division One Midlands campaign very soon. A short trip to Barnsley Women awaits the Blues for their opening league game of the season on Sunday 16th August. It should be a stern test for the Spireites as Barnsley Women finished fourth out of 12 teams in this same division last season. Chesterfield FC Women's number one aim for the season ahead will simply be to avoid finishing in the bottom two and staying clear of a relegation straight back to the fifth tier. The staff and squad will certainly be confident that they can achieve more than that though.
