Chesterfield will continue their hunt for a first home win of the 2026/27 campaign when Barnet visit the SMH Group Stadium on Saturday.
This weekend’s game comes as a second successive fixture on Sheffield Road after the Spireites played out a 1-1 draw with Gillingham on Tuesday evening.
Josh Koroma struck his first competitive goal for the club during what was an encouraging first-half display from Paul Cook’s side, only for Ronan Hale to profit from a loose pass at the back and force them to settle for a point.
It came as something of a surprise when Cook opted to start that match with the same XI that had also begun the preceding 2-1 defeat at Rotherham United, but the response of his players to that disappointment suggested that decision may well have had the desired effect.
