Chesterfield will set out in search of a third league win on the spin on Saturday afternoon as they travel to take on Cheltenham Town.
Victories against Oldham Athletic and York City (2-1 away and 2-0 at the SMH Group Stadium respectively) have also been coupled with a pair of positive outings in the EFL Trophy in which five points were secured from a possible six.
The Spireites began the group stage of the competition (now known as the Jersey Mike’s Trophy for sponsorship reasons) with a 5-3 triumph over Manchester City U21 before bagging a bonus point by beating Port Vale 4-3 on penalties, putting that alongside the one already secured after things had ended 1-1 through 90 minutes.
