Chesterfield will be chasing down the chance to record back-to-back victories when they take on Crawley Town at the Broadfield Stadium this weekend in League Two.

The Spireites secured a 4-2 home win over Tranmere Rovers last time out, in what was an ideal response to a six-game unbeaten streak (in all competitions) coming to an end at Cheltenham Town in the previous match. Although they could, by most measures, be considered to have been rather unfortunate to have lost that 2-1 after a largely positive performance.

Saturday’s hosts, meanwhile, weren’t in League Two action on either of those matchdays after scheduled fixtures against both Barnet and Walsall were postponed due to international call-ups for Dion Pereira (Antigua and Barbuda), Jonny Russell (Northern Ireland U21) and Nick Michalski (England U20) during the extended recent window.
