Chesterfield will go out in search of back-to-back wins when they make the short journey to take on Rotherham United on Saturday lunchtime.
The Spireites secured their first competitive victory of the 2026/27 season at the third attempt last weekend, with Lee Bonis’ second-minute strike enough to seal a commendable 1-0 triumph at pre-season promotion favourites Salford City.
Rotherham, meanwhile, remain winless in the new term with their most recent 1-1 draw with York City preceded by losses to Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion (4-1) in the Carabao Cup and then to Cheltenham Town (2-1) during the opening round of League Two fixtures.
