Spireites Match Preview: Tranmere Rovers (H)
02.10.26, 18:14 3 Minute Read
Chesterfield will aim to kick off a fresh unbeaten streak on Saturday lunchtime when Tranmere Rovers travel to the SMH Group Stadium.
The Spireites saw a run of six games without defeat in all competitions come to an end last time out, with a second-half strike from Louie Marsh not enough to prevent a 2-1 loss at Cheltenham Town.
But having registered a staggering 27 shots and directed 12 of those on target, there is reason to believe that this result was more an indicator of misfortune than towards a potential downturn in form.
In any case, looking to inflict a second successive defeat on Paul Cook’s side will be a Tranmere team who themselves may feel points were left on the table last weekend, recording 22 shots (11 on target, including a saved penalty) only to slip to a 1-1 draw with Walsall.
