Bryden Joins The Spireites To Strengthen Attacking Options

Chesterfield have confirmed the signing of 22 year-old Scottish striker Fraser Bryden from Northern Irish side Crusaders on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Bryden is the latest of a host of new faces to have joined the Spireites ahead of the hotly anticipated 2026/27 campaign. Before his spell playing at the Crues, he previously featured in Scotland for Queen of the South and Ayr United.
The forward was a very popular figure amongst the Crusaders fan base and it's important to note how gutted they are at his departure. Bryden scored 24 goals last season for the Crues and also won the Northern Ireland Football Writers Association Young Player of the Year award.
