Chesterfield have announced the signing of teenage midfielder Rafiq Lamptey on a season-long loan deal from Championship outfit Millwall. Lamptey becomes the tenth new arrival at the Spireites ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The 19 year-old has clearly impressed manager Paul Cook and the rest of his backroom staff following a trial spell at the Derbyshire side. Last season, Lamptey made his senior level debut when he came on as a substitute for Millwall in their defeat at Burnley in the third round of the FA Cup. While this is still his only experience of playing in a senior level match, he clearly has plenty of potential and this is a good move for both the Spireites and the Lions.
