Chesterfield will visit rivals Mansfield Town to close out their 2026/27 EFL Trophy group stage campaign after further details of the competition’s schedule were confirmed on Thursday.
The latest instalment of this fierce local derby will take place at the One Call Stadium on November 10, with kick-off set for 7PM.
That match-up will be preceded by two other Northern Section Group D fixtures as both Manchester City U21 and Port Vale visit the SMH Group Stadium on September 15 and September 22 respectively (both also 7PM starts.)
The Spireites’ final group game provides an opportunity to secure a first victory over Mansfield Town in what will then be more than 13 years, in the same competition (albeit now under a significantly altered format) as they claimed their last.
