Chesterfield FC Women extended their winning run in the league to three games as they comfortably defeated Sheffield FC Women 6-0 away from home in the FA Women's National League Division One Midlands on Thursday evening.

Pete Jarvis' side bossed the game from start to finish with a tremendous performance against their bottom-of-the-table opponents. The visitors took the lead after only four minutes played when Ruby Shore netted from close-range after Amy Nowell's superb effort from distance was parried by the Sheffield goalkeeper.

The Spireites went desperately close to doubling their advantage as the first half progressed as both Sophie Bain and Imogen Fowler saw strikes crash off the woodwork. The second goal eventually arrived after 34 minutes thanks to Shore's confident finish from inside the box.
