What a game! What a 90 minutes. Credit to Barnet, they came to win and they should have. Credit to Chesterfield, they played to win and nearly did in a match which saw Louie Marsh net his first ever goals for the Spireites and Joel Randall score on his debut for the Derbyshire outfit.

Let’s run through the talking points following a dramatic game at the SMH Group Stadium:

Character

I said in my match report and to Danny Webb post-game that Chesterfield’s confidence when they aren’t winning can be fragile (in different words), but what you can’t question was the character of the side which fought back three times to secure a point and were a brilliant save away from winning all three. Drama at its finest.
