Chesterfield has announced that 20 year-old winger Danny Anisjko has joined National League North side Bedford Town on loan for 30 days.

The Latvia U21 international has made four competitive appearances for the Spireites so far this season since joining the Derbyshire side in July. Three of those appearances have come as a late substitute; however, he started for the Blues in their 5-3 home victory over Manchester City U21 in the group stage of the EFL Trophy back in September.

Anisjko missed a three-week section of the domestic campaign after being called up for international duty. It's likely he would have at least featured for Chesterfield against Port Vale in the group stage of the EFL Trophy, if it hadn't been for that.

The move makes sense as Anisjko needs more regular senior level game time at this stage of his career. At this moment in time, Spireites supporters have only really seen a glimpse of what the winger can produce on the pitch, and it will be interesting to see how he gets on at Bedford Town.

Anisjko could feature for the Eagles on Saturday when they take on Scarborough Athletic away from home in the National League North.

He becomes the fifth Spireites player to be sent out on loan this season joining Luke Butterfield, Alex Whitney, Chey Dunkley and Gunner Elliott on that list.
